Cooperation of CE4Reg research team with Małopolska Marshal Office

In May 2016 Małopolska region became a partner of international project SYMBI Industrial Symbiosis and Recourse Efficient Circular Economy financed by Interreg programme of the EU (https://www.interregeurope.eu/SYMBI/). The other participants of the project represent cities and regions from Spain, Slovenia, Finland, Italy, Hungary and Greece.  As a topic of the project strongly interrelated with CE4Reg research issues, principal investigator of the project, dr Anna Avdiushchenko regularly take part at the stakeholders meetings devoted to circular economy and industrial symbiosis issues. The meetings are organized by Regional Policy Department and Environment Department of Małopolska Marshal Office. Prof. dr hab. Joanna Kulczycka, research partner of the CE4Reg project, is a content expert  of the SYMBI project.

 

20-21 of June 2017 one of the SYMBI project partners – Municipality of Kozani  (Greece) – organized an interregional workshops devoted to public-private partnership (PPP) for boosting circular economy and industrial symbiosis in the European regions.  Dr Anna Avdiushchenko was invited to participate at the workshops as an expert in circular economy issues. At the workshops were discussed best practises of PPP instrument at the partner countries and discussed opportunities to use it for implementation projects related to circular economy and industrial symbiosis.

 

Participant also took part at the side visit to Wester Macedonia Waste Management Company where they had an opportunity to get acquainted with waste management system of Wester Macedonia Region and discussed opportunities for industrial symbiosis ideas implementation.
